Great pristine place. Beautifully decorated. Beautiful rural surroundings very close to some of New Jersey's best beaches. Best of both worlds. Will definitely return.

We had the absolute best time and we weren't ready to leave! Their home was beautifully kept and had everything we needed + more. Perfect driving distance and we visited Avalon, Stone Harbor, and Cape May. The property was beautiful and so peaceful + the hens were an added bonus. Yvonne and Nik were the best hosts. Unbelievably friendly, helpful, and personable. We appreciate everything and can't wait to come back!!!!!

Magical! We loved Yvonne and Nik, we loved the home and we loved the hens! We felt right at home as soon as we entered. The home and surrounding area was peaceful. The home was mindfully and intentionally decorated. Even my boys noticed and talked about how much they love the home! We were so comfortable we didn't want to leave! This family cannot thank our hosts enough for being so wonderful and sharing their piece of heaven with us! Can't wait to return!

Yvonne and Nik were unbelievable hosts and the space was exactly what we, and our dog, were looking for. It was peaceful, beautifully well kept, and a perfect location to reach Cape May, Avalon, Stone Harbor, etc. I highly recommend this to people who are looking for some privacy and relaxation and Yvonne and Nik were perfect hosts, extremely responsible and incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond, shipping items to us that we left beyond, and were very communicative. Can’t think of a better place to stay in the Cape May area and we will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay at Yvonne and Nik's! The house is decorated beautifully, very clean, and stocked with everything we needed (kitchen essentials, shower products, plenty of extra linens, barbecue, beach towels and chairs, clothesline...) My 5-year old loved the "poop deck" bed! We really appreciated the host responsiveness, clear instructions and labeled cabinets. We loved seeing the chickens and sitting by the pond. It was great that we were able to bring our dog as well. It was a quick ride to the beach and zoo. We will be back!

It was absolutely perfect! My family and I had a great time! We even got to watch some geese on the pond! Chickens were awesome! Loved the entire house and we had a great time. Sorry we didn’t book our stay for a longer period of time! We will definitely be back. Enjoyed all of the photography and artwork sone by Nik and Yvonne. Love how they made it their space and we felt so welcome! I was also very happy to see natural and organic soaps and products around to use! We do our best to reduce our footprint so it’s nice to stay with likeminded people! 💜

Beautiful home, open and airy, well-decorated, had everything that we needed. Loved that it was off the beaten path but still just a short drive to Avalon, restaurants, golf course. Peaceful location, when outside you can hear the neighbor’s donkey joyful braying across the street and the chickens are so cute and friendly. There was a telescope provided that we would have loved to try but it rained in the evenings. Loved the personal touches like Yvonne’s art work displayed throughout the house, Nik’s newspaper clipping. The poop deck closet bed is so creative! My son was excited to try to sleep in it. The hosts were very responsive. We’d definitely come back again for a stay, next time we go down the shore.

Calling all dog, nature and design lovers! This beautiful and tasteful abode has everything you could possibly desire: a lovely interior filled with eccelctic furnishings, high end towels and amenities, a fully-stocked kitchen, live plants, games and so much more. There is a front yard bistro set for a morning coffee where you are surrounded by flowers and happy bees and a larger patio in the back for outdoor dining. We fell asleep to a bullfrog symphony and awoke with the chickens (so much fun!). Having such a lovely place that is dog friendly is a rarity. The hosts Yvonne and Nic could not be nicer. Five stars all the way!

Our family really enjoyed the three nights we spent here. Our kids (age 9 and 5) LOVED the hens. The house is clean and has all the basics. We ate most of our meals at the house and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The yard is large and we had fun roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. We enjoyed eating on the back deck and listening to the hens below. There is a small pond as well, and the kids caught minnows with the nets we brought. The area is relatively quiet, with only the occasional car passing on the road. Nik and Yvonne were the perfect hosts: kind, responsive and very helpful with local tips. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

This house feels like a home, not a vacation rental! We loved everything about our stay here. The location is perfect and close to Avalon, Stone Harbor, and Cape May. Yvonne and Nik are wonderful hosts and we can't wait to come back again soon!

As soon as we walked into the house my kids exclaimed they loved the house and our first impressions didn't disappoint. This was a perfect rental for our purposes and we would definitely stay again. Super clean, exactly as described and a perfect stay. We wish we had more time to visit the chickens and enjoy the fire pit - maybe next time. Definitely would recommend this place. Beautifully decorated, super clean, fresh and bright space that my entire family loved! Yvonne and Nik were so responsive and helpful. We loved visiting the chickens everyday before taking short drives to Stone Harbor, the Cape May Park and Zoo, Wildwood Boardwalk, etc. Felt like (a way more stylish) home away from home!

Bougie Beach Bums is bursting with style and charm. Yvonne blended whimsy, comfort, and convenience to create a one-of-kind shore rental. The decor, furniture, art, throw pillows, and wallpaper are full of color and texture. My kid loved the secret bunk bed! It’s just a beautiful place to be.

She also thought of everything — USB outlets just where you need them, kid-safe dishes, a framed QR code to get on the Wi-Fi, yoga mat, fancy bath products, comfy beds — and tiny labels around to help you find things. There are also beach chairs and an umbrella for your use.

The location is close to several beaches. We went from quiet Avalon to the Wildwood boardwalk and dinner in Sea Isle all in a day. Yet, the house is really its own private oasis, away from the noise and crowds.
The outdoor space is like it’s own private park with a pond and deck. The hens are friendly and fun (plus, fresh delicious eggs every morning!), especially for kids.

Plus, Yvonne and Nik are super responsive hosts!

My husband, myself and my 4 yr old boy absolutely loved this place! So close to beaches to get away for private nights!! My boy loved the open area, pond and couldn’t get enough of hanging with the ‘girls’ (the hens)!! Would absolutely rent again and recommend to anyone!!! Thank you!!
